Earthworm Castings

Mushroom Compost
A terrific alternative to manure, mushroom compost is the substrate that commercially produced mushrooms are grown in. The substrate is sterilized and bagged, retaining some of the nutrients. Improves soil structure & increases water retention. Can be high in salts and isn't ideal for germinating seeds or for salt-sensitive plants.
